Dealing With Socially Awkward Situations

by Natalyn Lewis | LDS Homeschool Conference 2012

Through her delightful humor and the wisdom of personal experience, Natalyn will help you find the ability to see past the awkwardness of youth and life’s embarrassing situations.  She will help you see your personal worth to Heavenly Father and, consequently, the worth of all of his children.  You will gain tools and ideas to help you deal with those socially awkward situations that crop up all too frequently, so that you can get past yourself and get onto building relationships. This will be a fun-filledawkward class.  A great way to start off the day and get to know the other youth that will be attending!

Natalyn Lewis  is a firm believer in the worth of souls and she believes that she can accomplish anything. She once believed everyone felt the same way about their own lives.  However, as she matured and expanded her reach, she came to realize that not everyone believes in themselves and many have lost sight altogether of who they are and where they come from. While serving in various capacities in Young Women’s Presidencies as well as working with the youth in conference events and Sunday School she became passionate about sharing this message:  You know who you are and what you are worth, don’t get confused!  Her desire to share this message launched her into writing a book and making a life mission to arm people with the knowledge of who they are, what they are worth, and what they can achieve.  Natalyn’s commitment to excellence also made her an Academic All-American collegiate athlete, playing five years on the Brigham Young University women’s soccer team. Today, she serves as the Director of Coaching and Player Development for the Celtic Storm Soccer Club and is the Varsity Head Coach for the Timpanogos girls soccer team.  Natalyn is actively involved in speaking, training, consulting and coaching as outlets for her to work within her life mission of lifting and inspiring others to a knowledge of their infinite potential.  Natalyn currently resides in Utah with her husband  and their three beautiful children.
