Oil and Lamps
Gospel learning is an act of faith, and no one can do it for us. As manifested in the Savior’s parable of the ten virgins, if we want communion with the Master, we must fill our own lamps, open our own hearts, and receive our own revelation. And although we cannot fill others’ lamps for them, might we create a culture of affection for and engagement with the scriptures? The Savior called those who have light to share that light. Can my love of learning be infectious enough that others around me will also want to learn with passion? We will discuss both how to be faithful learners and how to encourage others to engage in meaningful acts of learning.
